Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.1 · Last updated 27 July 2026

In shortUse Graspera to study and teach. Do not use it to harm anyone, to get around your school's assessment rules, to attack or scrape the platform, or to put personal details into free-text boxes. We act immediately on anything involving a child's safety.
Graspera is operated by David Williams (ABN 50639154277), a sole trader, of 297 Miller Road, Bass Hill, NSW 2197. In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean David Williams trading as Graspera.

1. Why this policy exists

Graspera is used by children. This policy sets the rules that keep it a safe and useful place to study. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and breaking it can lead to an account being suspended or closed.

It applies to everyone: students, parents and guardians, teachers, and school administrators. The Account Holder is responsible for the conduct of every student under their account.

2. What we expect

  • Use Graspera for study, teaching and supervising a student's learning.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Do not share a username or password, including with a friend or classmate.
  • Treat anything you type as if a teacher will read it, because a parent or teacher may.
  • Report anything that looks wrong - an unsafe response, a broken question, or content that should not be there.
  • Follow your school's rules and your examination authority's rules about how study tools may be used.

3. What is not allowed

3.1 Harm to people

  • Bullying, harassing, threatening or humiliating any person.
  • Hate speech, or content that demeans a person or group based on race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other attribute.
  • Sexual content of any kind, and in particular any content that sexualises a person under 18. We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities without notice.
  • Content that encourages self-harm, disordered eating, suicide or substance abuse.
  • Attempting to identify, locate or contact another user outside the Service.

3.2 Misusing the AI

  • Trying to make the AI produce harmful, sexual, violent or illegal content.
  • Trying to bypass the safety limits of the AI, including through role-play framing or instruction injection.
  • Using the AI to produce work that will be handed in as the student's own. See the AI and Academic Integrity Statement.
  • Using Graspera to complete an assessment that the student's school requires to be completed unaided.
  • Automating or bulk-generating content, or using Graspera as a general-purpose AI assistant unrelated to study.

3.3 Misusing the platform

  • Sharing, selling or transferring account access.
  • Scraping, crawling, or bulk-extracting questions, solutions or any other Content.
  • Copying our question banks or marking logic into another product, or using our Content to train a machine learning model.
  • Reverse engineering, probing or attacking the Service, its infrastructure or its security controls.
  • Circumventing usage limits, rate limits or paywalls.
  • Uploading malware, or anything designed to disrupt the Service or another user.
  • Impersonating a parent, teacher, school or member of our staff.

3.4 Personal information

Do not type personal details into question boxes or free-text fields - not your own and not anyone else's. That includes full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, student identification numbers and photographs. Graspera does not need them, and free text is sent to our AI provider for processing.

4. Additional rules for schools and teachers

  • Use student data only for teaching and supporting that student's learning.
  • Do not export student data into another system without the authority to do so.
  • Revoke a staff member's access promptly when they leave or change role, and tell us.
  • Do not use Graspera to conduct a formal assessment unless your school has satisfied itself that doing so complies with its own assessment policy and the requirements of your examination authority.

5. Reporting a problem

If a child is in immediate danger, call 000 now. Do not wait for us to reply to an email. Once everyone is safe, tell us as well so we can act on our side.

5.1 Telling us

If you see something unsafe, wrong or abusive, email support@graspera.au with what you saw and where. Include a screenshot if you can. We treat anything involving the safety of a child as our highest priority and look at it the same day we receive it.

You do not need to be certain, and you will not be in trouble for reporting something that turns out to be innocent. Our Child Safety Policy sets out what happens after you tell us.

5.2 People you can go to instead of, or as well as, us

Nothing here asks you to report to us first. These bodies can act in ways we cannot:

  • Emergency services: 000 - anyone in immediate danger.
  • NSW Child Protection Helpline: 132 111 (24 hours, 7 days) - if you suspect a child is at risk of significant harm. Anyone may make a report; you do not have to be a teacher or a doctor.
  • NSW Police Assistance Line: 131 444 - a crime that is not an emergency.
  • eSafety Commissioner - esafety.gov.au/report for reports of cyberbullying, image-based abuse and illegal content. eSafety can require a platform to take material down.
  • Kids Helpline: 1800 55 1800 - free and confidential, 24 hours, ages 5 to 25. A student can call this themselves.
  • The student's school - if the student uses Graspera through a school, its wellbeing team usually knows the student and can act fastest.

6. What happens if this policy is broken

Depending on what happened and how serious it is, we may:

  • remove or block the content;
  • contact the Account Holder, and where a school account is involved, the school;
  • limit or suspend features on the account;
  • suspend or close the account; or
  • report the matter to law enforcement or another authority.

Where the breach can be fixed and no one is at risk, we will normally warn the Account Holder first and give a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Where a child's safety is involved, or where the Service is under attack, we act immediately.

If you believe we acted wrongly, email support@graspera.au and we will review the decision. Our complaints process is set out in the Terms of Service.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service changes and as new kinds of misuse appear. The version and date at the top of this page always show the current version. Material changes are notified to Account Holders.
